Subject: FAANG: launch of the new Task Forces

Dear Colleagues,

Since the successful collection of inputs from the large community earlier
this year (FAANG survey 2022), work was done to design and structure the
first new Task Forces (TFs) of FAANG.

The aim of the new TFs is to provide a renovated framework for discussions
and exchanges to meet the several Genome-to-Phenome (G2P) challenges that
the farmed animal community is facing.

We are happy to announce that six TFs are now established and ready to
start!

They are:

* FAANGCompGen (Comparative genomics and assembly: visualization and
  analysis of multiple genomes)
* FAANGPrediction (Incorporating FAANG data into prediction of
  phenotypes/breeding values in genetic evaluations).
* FAANG Single Cell
* FarmGTEx (Farm Animal Genotype-Tissue Expression)
* HTP-DS (High Throughput Phenotyping and Data Storage)
* metaFAIR (FAANG Metadata, Ontologies and FAIR Data Sharing)
