Dear EuroFAANG and FAANG members,
Please save the date for an upcoming EuroFAANG (https://eurofaang.eu/) virtual
training course on best practice for submitting experiment and analysis data to
FAANG.
The free virtual zoom course will take place on Thursday 7th April 13.00-17.00
GMT, 14.00-18.00 CET, 07:00-11:00 CDT.
The training is funded by the GENE-SWitCH (https://www.gene-switch.eu/) project,
and will include demonstrations from the EuroFAANG Data Coordination Centre at
EMBL’s European Bioinformatics Institute on:
• Preparing, validating and submitting experiment and analysis data to the
FAANG Data Portal and public archives.
• Submitting your own custom FAANG track hubs to the Ensembl and UCSC
genome browsers through the Track Hub Registry.
• Best practices for data openness and reproducibility.
The workshop will also include a seminar and demonstration from our BovReg
(https://www.bovreg.eu/) project colleagues from the Centre for Genomic
Regulation on the key role that nf-core (https://nf-co.re/) plays in
standardising FAANG data analysis and promoting reproducibility.
The training workshop is free and open to all EuroFAANG and FAANG project
members.
Save the date, further details to follow.
Best wishes,
Peter Harrison
