Subject: A FEW PLACES REMAINING on FAANG: Hands on metadata validation
       and data submission training at PAG 16th January 2019

Dear colleagues,

There are still a few places remaining on the FAANG workshop of use to
anyone who is currently, or planning on, submitting sample or experimental
data to the FAANG project.

FAANG: Hands on metadata validation and data submission training workshop

16th January 2019 13:00-17:00

Taking place on the last day of the International Plant and Animal Genome
Conference at the Town and Country Hotel, San Diego, USA.

The workshop will cover:
 How to prepare your FAANG sample and experimental metadata for submission.
 How to use the FAANG Validation tools to meet the FAANG standards.
 How to perform FAANG sample, experiment and analysis archive submissions.

Workshop will include Interactive hands on training.

You are welcome to bring your own data to discuss and work on (or use some
example datasets if you don’t have your own yet)!

You will be required to bring your own laptop for the practical parts of
the workshop.

The course will have limited capacity so to reserve a place, please email
faang-dccebi.ac.uk with the subject
line 'FAANG: Hands on metadatavalidation and data submission training at PAG
2019’. Please also answer
the following questions in the email to help us with tailoring the content
of the course:

- Name:
- Organisation:
- What species do you work on?
- What experimental assays you have completed or plan to conduct?
- Have you submitted any data to FAANG previously (please provide an example
identifier)?
- Do you already have samples collected?
- Have you already generated experimental data?
