Subject: Updates to the FAANG sample metadata specification

Hi everyone,

Weve made further updates to the metadata specification for samples, based
on feedback received from contributors preparing sample information. These
changes should make it easier to describe your samples.

Please update to the latest template, the changes will cause problems
otherwise. This is available here:

We have added a new data type (cell lines), updated the term source fields
and changed one column name (from tissue to organism part).

If anyone has any queries about preparing metadata, please contact faang-
