It is wonderful to hear that different groups are making progress
generating epigenomic data for FAANG.

There are now a set of open pages available in the FAANG confluence
about data submission.

http://www.ebi.ac.uk/seqdb/confluence/display/FAANG/FAANG+Archive+Submission+guidelines

We hope this will help people plan their data submission processes and
help everyone meet the FAANG standards. Please email if you have any
questions.

An important issue to clarify is the registration of samples.

All FAANG samples should be registered in the BioSamples database at
EMBL-EBI.

You can find guidance on this on our shared confluence.
http://www.ebi.ac.uk/seqdb/confluence/display/FAANG/Submission+of+samples+to+BioSamples.

This page should be public but if you would like access to the private
FAANG space, please e-mail faang-dccebi.ac.uk.
If you have previously submitted sample metadata for FAANG samples to a
resource other than BioSamplesEMBL-EBI, please get in touch withfaang-dccebi.ac.uk and we will help resolve this.
To help with sample deposition, we have a template spreadsheet
available. It has been updated this week, in response to lessons learned
while preparing the validation tools. Please get an updated copy from
http://www.ebi.ac.uk/seqdb/confluence/display/FAANG/Submission+of+samples+to+BioSamples

We have built tools to check that sample metadata satisfies the FAANG
metadata specification, and to help prepare the data for submission to
BioSamples@EMBL-EBI. The tools are available at http://www.ebi.ac.uk/vg/faangWe
would welcome feedback - please get in touch with faang-dccebi.ac.uk
Thanks

Laura
